    LIZZIE MURRAY

    FOUNDER / CEO

    With a life spent living, travelling and working around the world from childhood, communication and helping people became Lizzie’s greatest passions. She saw that relatable and creative ways to communicate knowledge and information and co-creating initiatives brought impact, especially amongst remote communities.

    Lizzie has an Honours degree from University College London in Political Science and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce. She has visited over one hundred countries and is proficient in five languages. Lizzie spent eight years living and working with communities in Indonesia.

    Keri Algar is a media communication professional and freelance travel writer. Having worked in development journalism, Keri has raised the capacity of individuals in remote, cross-cultural and post-conflict contexts. She believes the effective use of media communication is crucial for communities that wish to play a part in their own development.

    DIRECTOR

    “A Liquid Future is my way of creating positive change in the world.” A dynamic finance compliance and HR professional, Katiuce is a director on the board of A Liquid Future Australia.

    Katiuce has had vast experience with financial planning, regulatory compliance, retail banking, high net worth and corporate clientele. Currently she works at SQM Research in Sydney.

    Katiuce lives in Sydney’s Northern Beaches where she enjoys yoga and beach time.

  • HARRIET RICKARD

    SECRETARY

    Harriet is an Indonesian-Australian, born in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her most cherished memories of Indonesia include visiting her mother’s remote village of Solo, Java. She was drawn to A Liquid Future because of its mission to help remote Indonesian communities through accessibility and relatable approaches.

    Harriet is a practising lawyer who spends most of her mornings in the surf. She resonates deeply with the notion that the ocean and surfing are powerful tools to bring people together and do good. Combining her professional background and a love of surfing, Harriet leverages her personal experiences and legal know-how in her role as Company Secretary of A Liquid Future.

  • DAVID HOWARTH

    TREASURER

    David is a Corporate Treasury professional with extensive experience in multinational companies in Australia and Europe. David has spent seven years working abroad in the UK and Belgium, sailing and travelling extensively. Since returning to Australia, David has been with Aurecon, an Engineering Consulting firm, for 15 years.

    As a keen surfer, sailor, and windsurfer, David has travelled to Indonesia many times and most recently spent two months surfing and travelling with his family in Lombok and Sumbawa during the wet season. David is married with three children and lives on the Mornington Peninsula, surrounded by spectacular coastline and beautiful beaches.

    Johnson is a passionate father who loves nature. He wants to help realize A Liquid Future's mission and vision, contributing to a better education for children and protecting the natural environment in Mentawai which he visits regularly from Padang.

    Faridah has an IB Diploma and worked in the marketing department of AIA Insurance and Bank Danamon.  Faridah is a mother of three children. She would like to see children in Mentawai independent, confident and in a position to advance Mentawai.

    FINANCE MANAGER

    Ricardo has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Canada. He now owns and runs the hotel and bar ‘Bat and Arrow’ in Padang. Ricardo frequently interacts with tourists and is thankful for tourism. He says, “Tourism and the surfing industry have a huge impact on me, therefore I wish to give back to the community of Mentawai through A Liquid Future”
